Ultrasonic metering technology stands for precision, long-term stable readings and easy handling during installation. If this is combined with integrated radio technology, it becomes a highly convenient package in the field of consumption data acquisition. The short, static metering cycle of every 12 seconds with the 10-year battery (optional every 4 seconds with the 7-year battery), the dynamic range of up to 1:250 as well as the Class 2 metering accuracy all result in a very high level of reading precision. Screw-type meters are available in flow rates of 0.6 to 10.0 m3/h for recording the energy consumption of heating, cooling and hot water supply systems. The compact design, removable calculating unit and the possibility of overhead mounting offer plenty of scope and options for installation, even in confined situations. In addition, if required it is possible on site to switch between supply and return – without changing the temperature sensors – as well as between energy units (GJ – MJ <-> kWh -MWh). AES device encryption is possible on request. Decryption can be performed within the Q SMP on a tariff-related basis. Optionally, devices with pure AMR or AMR extended telegrams are available.
